Book reading with DEAN WONG
Seeing the Light: Four Decades in Chinatown photos and essays

Saturday, May 28, 2016 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Seattle native Dean Wong has published his first book compilation with Seeing the Light: Four Decades in Chinatown. In Seeing, Wong focuses his attention on the Chinatowns of Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver and New York.

Chroniclizing the celebratory side of life in these communities from the events around Lunar New Year to a much anticipated visit by the Dalai Lama. We also see through Wong, the elderly Chinese American facing evistion as the neighborhood gentrifies and the man who challenged Bruce Lee to a fight...and lost.
